Introductions

I am Livia Augusta. I am a graduate student. I am a feminist. This is my blog. I have toyed with idea of blogging for a few years, and today was the day. There has recently been a lot of chatter about pseudonymity in the blogosphere. For now, I’m going to use a pseudonym because I’m not quite comfortable with the thought that my colleagues, professors, students and potential employers reading what I might decide to post here. Let’s face it: this is my blog, not my job. It’s not intended to represent the attitude of Beach University, my potential future Job University or my professsional attitude about anything. This is personal. The personal is political, so this may end up being a political blog. At the very least it will have a political leaning. So, readers, please be aware that the attitudes and beliefs expressed in this blog are not those of any other person or group other than me. They do not reflect (unless so noted) the kind of professional response I would try to take in a professional setting. They are the rambling of my mind and my heart.
